Haunted Hamilton's New Website!

steph hard at work! After the great success of our first 'Meet and Greet' event, Dan and I had a long talk about Haunted Hamilton's future. We had so many ideas, and so little time to work on the site. Finally, I had some spare time one evening last week, so I decided to dedicate it purely to Haunted Hamilton.

One of the things that we discussed was a new website. Because we planned on implementing new sections and ideas into the site, we needed a page that would work with all of this. I think I sat in this uncomfortable computer chair for 6 hours straight working on the prototype design. And to be honest, the design of the site just came naturally and quickly...it was the actual planning of the sections and such that took the longest.

So what you see here now is the *new* Haunted Hamilton site, designed by yours truly. If you're wondering about the angel theme, we wanted to incorporate them somehow into the site for several reasons...one being that we just like angels, and second, we consider the angels to be the 'protectors' of our beautiful city. The angel at the top right of the page symbolizes innocence and purity, and the angel at the bottom left reflects hope for the future, while the angel at the bottom right symbolizes shame and despair.

You'll notice that one of the major changes on the site is our new 'article' section. These will be various articles and news stories that somehow relate to Hamilton's ghosts, hauntings, or old buildings. This section will go hand in hand with our Haunted Hamilton committee, which will soon be formed. Our various Field Researchers will be writing daily articles to post on the site. So be sure to check the page often, because the main page will be updated and changed daily.

All in all, the creation and existence of this website is truly a labour of love. Dan and I will be looking forward to updating the page and frequenting the message board. We would really like to thank all of you for making this page what it is today. We couldn't have done this without all your support.

Take care,

Stephanie Lechniak
