Interview
with a Psychic Huddled up in a dark attic, grouped together with darkness surrounding. This horrific scene ended our detailed Merritt house investigation, the biggest and most eventful investigation to date. Stephanie, Kate, Michele and myself were glued to the floor, unable to proceed into the rooms that no one goes, especially at night. The end of an investigation and the beginning of our journeys together, the HH Team.
The psychic, the teacher, the wonderful and kind person that Steph and I recently sat down with for an in-depth interview to find out: her past, her experiences, and what make her the true psychic that she is today.
A
Psychic Childhood
How and when did you first acquire your “Psychic Ability”? When I was about 6 or 7 years of age I could feel the spirits around me, and hear them talking. I remember being afraid of the dark even younger because I knew I wasn't alone, but at that time I didn't know why. Was it hard growing up with these special skills? Yes, it was very hard, I would tell my family my fears of going into certain rooms in our home because I could sense someone in them (spirit) but of course it wasn't as open in those day's to talk about spirits and ghosts, so it made it difficult for me. I used to sleep walk, and I feel that my gifts, or skills were a direct link to some of the things I used to do. I was also frightened to sleep in the dark, incase I saw something, so I had a light on always.
I had a very close friend in school that I could confide in and she was the only one who ever knew. I blocked my gifts throughout most of my school years for that very fear of being ridiculed. What was the most interesting experience you have had at the hands of your abilities? I have had so many it's hard to name just one, but there is one that stands out a bit more. It's when I saw for the first time in many years of blocking the spirit world, the spirit of a sister I was doing a reading for. It was her twin sister and I saw her as if I was looking at a living person, I was able to hear her (just like your having a normal conversation), and have her give me details as to how she died. It was a very tragic death (murder) and I was able to put closure to her death for her sister. I was so happy that I had helped my client, and for having my vision back. Another was when I was doing a reading for a client and the tape recorder stopped recording at the point where the client’s mother (spirit) came though (about 3/4 of the way into the 30 min. tape). Oddly enough, the tape recorder did managed to tape the part of the reading where the mother was giving messages. (note: the tape was not in the machine at the time I spoke to the mother in spirit, and the voice is talking over the original reading from the beginning of the tape.)

General Psychic Abilities
Yes, we all the ability to develop our 6th sense if we choose too. Some people sense their gifts right away, while others may want to develop them later in life, or not at all, but whenever you choose to do it, it's always there to give guidance and intuition. Most of us have had those times when we think of someone and the phone rings, and it's the person we were thinking of, or suddenly have the urge to call or see someone only to find out they needed your help in some way. It's funny that woman's intuition is blamed regarding these abilities for the longest time, but in reality we all have the ability to use our psychic intuition to help others and ourselves. What type of mentality does it take to develop these skills? Most who have developed these skills usually have a passion or interest for the mystical, or mysteries of life (occult or unseen energies). Anyone can develop these skills by meditating and reading on the subjects, to give a better understanding as to why we feel or see things in our lives that others may not see or feel. I also feel that our ancestors have had many of these gifts that get passed down to us, as we grow more spiritually aware. What do you tell the skeptics of the world that say “Psychic abilities” do not exist? I try not to waste my energy on the people that only criticize or don't believe in the gifts that many have. It is a mystery to those of us that have these gifts, we don't know why or how we can do the things we do, we just know we can, and I only pray that people will keep an open mind. I feel that those who do not believe in psychic abilities fear the unknown, and that keeps their defenses up or stops them from believing in things can't be explained.

Past Lives
Can you tell clients about their past lives? Yes, I have been able to go back into the past live of my clients to reveal who they were and what they did (eg:.job), but I only do this if they ask to know. I have been successful in doing past life regressions as well, to help people get into their past lives for healing issues that are still unresolved in this life. It helps me to know who they were so I can get a better vision of where they are coming from, to possibly help them not to make similar mistakes in this lifetime. Do you have any details you wish to share about your own past lives? I have had many past lives, I am an old soul and laugh at some of the people I have been, because I have been both sexes, young and old, and have had tragic endings to some of them. I was accused of being a witch and hung by the neck. I was a young boy (very poor) living on the streets trying to make money for my food, dying at the age of 4 or 5. I was Native both a girl and a boy in different lives. As an Native girl my father was the chief. I was very mischievous in that life. I was also a High Priestess, but like I said their are too many to mention here, but I have had many past lives.

Psychic Reading with Michele
I was introduced in my teens from a woman who read jewelry (psychometry). She had me hold her ring and asked me to see if I could get any visions from it. I was successful in the things I told her, so she said that I should do this more often and with practice I would be able to trust my visions, and do this for others. I started reading every book I could find of a psychic nature, then learned to meditate to strengthen my gifts. I then became very interested in learning more about the tarot. At the time I was using regular playing cards and could do fortune telling with both psychometry and cards. It progressed over the years to the actual tarot cards (because the pictures were prettier). With many years of working on my gifts, I was able to hear and see the spirits that needed my help, or to give messages to the people that came for a reading. I am truly blessed in having my gifts and I feel that I was given them in order to help people who believed as I do in the energies of the psychic world. How long have you been doing readings? I guess you could say it's been 20 + years. In my childhood I knew I had a gift, but I blocked it until my teens. I had been doing readings for my family and friends when I first learned psychometry. I did take a couple of years off when I saw my first death in a reading, as it was very traumatic for me. I was still young and didn't understand why I would see such a thing, everything up till then had been more pleasant visions. I soon realized that death is part of life and life doesn't end with the physical death. I started doing readings again working out of a store in the mall. Now I work from home. What may happen during a normal reading? I normally get visit's from spirits wishing to communicate with people who are signed in for a reading the night before, or they show up as the person prepares to sit down for a session, and I will immediately give my clients the messages that come though. I hold a piece of their jewelry to try and connect to their energies and give them the visions or psychic impressions that I get. I then continue on to do the tarot cards, which may only confirm what I may have already told them. I then give them time to ask any questions they may have, if I already haven't answered them. Then I thank the spirits that have come, and/or spirit guides who have helped me in the session. Do you allow the client to tape the session? Yes I do allow for taping the session, but I have found that some of the spirit energy that comes though may not allow for it, so they have ways of messing up the tape. They have stopped the tape from working or, they have made loud sounds like, ticking or knocking or wind sounds, interfering in hearing clearly. I had one taping, where all you could hear was the client, not my voice at all. How much do you charge for a typical reading? I receive $40.00 per session, which can sometimes last over an hour. I try to keep the amount low as to be able to help many who come to me for a reading. If I were to charge more, I feel I'm stopping so many who are in need of direction or guidance in their lives. Is there anything else you would like to add? (such as other services, experiences or comments from previous clients) I keep a comment book, that I ask my clients to sign after a session, as to how they felt the reading went. I have not had a comment that was indicating my abilities were not genuine or helpful to them. I have many who come back or write me, to let me know that what I had told them was correct and were impressed with my predictions. Here are some of the many comments I have received over the years:

Services I am also a Reiki healer, my reiki treatments help reduce stress, alleviate pain and illnesses. I am a spirit searcher helping people who may be having problems with lost or troubled spirits, in hopes to help them cross over to the spirit world. Every
investigation to follow presented a new challenge, but the method always
stayed the same. The procedure is, Steph and I go alone to get the history
and hauntings of a location; knowledgeable that we will return with
Kate and Michele to start the psychic portion. With this sort-of test
comes the realization that Michele is a true psychic. She constantly
comes up with events and people she couldn’t have possibly known
about before hand.
