Healing Through the Aura

To understand colour therapy properly, we need to understand the concept of the aura. According to this concept, we have not only a physical body but also several more subtle bodies, which link to the emotional, mental, and spiritual levels of our selves.

These vibrate at such a fast rate that they are invisible to the human eye, and radiate colour vibrations, which spread out around us in bands of light fomring an "aura." The aura is made up of three distinct layers or subtle bodies radiating outward from the physical body. The physical body is the most dense and is the one we can see, while the subtle bodies are invisible to everyone except those with "psychic" vision. Although the orthodox medical profession in the West consistently denies the existence of the aura and subtle bodies, knowledge of them has been claimed by healers and people with clairvoyant vision for thousands of years.

Bands of the Aura
  • The first band of vibrations in the aura is a thin band of energy known as the etheric body, which is an exact duplicate of the physical body, but because it vibrates at a higher rate it is invisible to the naked eye. The etheric body acts as a type of vibrational sieve, allowing vibrations from the other subtle bodies to flow into the physical body and vibrations from the physical body to flow outward

  • The second band of energy in the aura is the astral or emotional body. This extends around us for up to about a yard (a little under a meter) and is made up of a changing array of colours that reflect our moods and emotions.

  • Extending outward from the astral body is the mental body, and this band of colour energy is filled with energy from our thought waves. This mental energy interacts with the astral and etheric bodies, so it influences the typ eof energy balance in these areas. So if you are thinking negative thoughts these will have permeated through your subtle bodies and will be having a direct influence on your emotional and physical well-being.

Our aura is made up of many beautiful colour vibrations forming an egg shape around the physical body. The colours of the aura reflect or physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual states.

The vital energy from light rays, with its seven component colours, provides us with the nourishment we need to keep us in perfect health. However, if the vital life-giving force embodiesd in the seven healing rays becomes blocked then imbalances of energy occur. When this happens certain colour energies build up in some energy centers of the body called chakras, while others become depleted of energy. Problems in any of these areas show up as bulges or patterns in the shapes of the aura, and energy distortions show up there, too. Eventually our physical body interprets these energy imbalances as physical illness and manifests a whole array of difficult symptoms.

Our physical form cannot exist in isolation from our mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. These aspects of our psyche are constantly interacting with one another. Many of our physical feelings are altered by our thoughts and expectations. Building our mental strength and tuning into our intuition influences the colours in our auras, changing negative expectations into positive ones.

The Colour of Auras
When we are completely balanced an in perfect health, our aura will be a beautiful rainbow, for each cosmic ray will be able to flow through us without obstruction. As well as giving off our own colour vibrations, we also absorb light energy through our aura. Light engergy is drawn into the auric egg, which acts like a prism, breaking down the light into its component colour elements.
