The Chakras

Each colour vibration is absorbed into the body through a system of seven body energy centers located at different points along the spine, known as the chakras, which are directly linked to nerve centers.

Each chakra absorbs a certain vibration of light in the form of one of the major coloured rays, and then distributes it through the body. If the energy force is blocked at any particular level, there will be a buildup of energy at that level, causing a distortion that will then start affecting other areas of our being. The particular colour vibration to which a chakra is sensitive can be used to energize and balance the center and its related body systems, organs, and glands. The centers that attract each of the rays are as follows.

  • red: lowest center located at the base of the spine
  • orange: splenic center in the small of the back
  • yellow: middle of the back, the solar plexus
  • green: heart center between the shoulder blades
  • blue: throat or thyroid at the base of the skull
  • indigo: third eye, the pineal gland
  • violet: crown of the head, the pituitary gland

Each colour also affects the energy center above and below it, and certain energy centers have balancing effects with each other. For example, although yellow links to the digestive system, green and orange will also affect digestion.

There are three main ways we can attract and direct colour harmony into the etheric body.

  • The first is by opening our chakras so that colour energy can flow freely through us. We can then direct this energy either with our mind or through our hands. In this way we can perform self-healing or heal other people.
  • The second way is by making use of light instruments to expose the whole aura to colour energy. This is known as colour irradation.
  • The third way is known as chromatherapy and involves directing light toward a chakra or part of the body in order to heal that particular area. If we concentrate the colour energy into a narrow beam of light, it acts as a laser, the vibrations of which can be used to stimulate an acupressure point or foot reflex. You can also use fingers to apply pressure on the meridian points on the body, face, hands and feet, sending colour energy mentally along these channels.

The chart below illustrates the colour frequencies sympathetic to specific organs, glands, body systems, and chakras.

Body Power Centers and Colours
Colour Energy Center Glands Organs Body Systems
red base adrenals kidneys muscular, system, arterial blood
orange sacral (hara, dantian) reproductive organs ovaries, testes, stomach, colon reproductive system

blue throat thyroid, parathyroids throat, upper lung respiratory system
indigo third eye pituitary eyes, nose, ears skeletal system, venous blood
violet crown pineal brain central nervous system
magenta etheric/spirit glands related to meridian acupuncture points, foot reflexes meridian system
