The connection between the history and hauntings for a historical structure is a strong link. We at Haunted Hamilton see Disappearing History as the completion of a cycle. The history gives us a chance to tell the true tales of pioneers that formed our city and the hauntings that continue their legend.

Serving as a shield for defenseless historic structures, Disappearing History commits itself to telling the full story before the structure is gone. The feeling behind this is that it may make a difference if the people of Hamilton know the importance of this building in regards to our history.

Maybe one of our city’s fathers called this place home or maybe a famous actor or actress of their time lived and breathed in this house. Maybe their spirit still surrounds the structure and the destruction of the home will send this soul into purgatory. No matter how far the story goes, Disappearing History will uncover it.

We are researchers and this is our labour of love. The articles you read on this site will represent buildings that stand and ones that are now a memory. If what is written here changes the views of simply one person, then we have begun to achieve our goals. If we can reach the officials of Hamilton with our plea, then Disappearing History will become completely worthwhile.
