HH Weekend Ghost Treks
Date: Saturday, August 25, 2001 at 9 p.m. Location: Battlefield Park Address: 77 King Street West, Stoney Creek Info: We will all meet promptly at 9 p.m. in the parking lot at the park. We'll discuss a bit of the history surrounding the battlefield and the hauntings that are known here. Then we will take a walk around the park to see if we discover anything. Please feel free to bring anything that you feel may help in this "mini-investigation" whether it be a camera, tape recorder or video recorder. As well, be sure to come prepared. With this mosquito warning in effect, make sure you have lots of bug spray! Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a flaslight if you like. Also, we don't recommend bringing younger children on this trek because things can get pretty spooky with all the "ghost talk". You never know what we may encounter, so it is best to leave the young ones at home. E-mail us at hauntedhamilton@hotmail.com to let us know if you're thinking of attending.
Mary Gage is suspected to walk the house moving things around and a visiting psychic reported much spirit activity in the area of the battlefield outside the house. Maybe some of the soldiers killed in the Battle of Stoney Creek in 1813 are still wandering the area.
