December 16, 2001 @ 5 p.m. We just booked out Slainte's Irish Pub, for a casual, informal dinner get-together. This will give us all a chance to meet for dinner before Christmas and New Years. It will be a fun-filled evening of great food and conversation and will give you a chance to mingle with the rest of the HH members. Eat what you want, pay for what you order, and talk the night away with other people who share your interests! We have reserved the second floor of the pub for the evening, which features a cozy, warm fireplace to sit by, perfect for the cold, winter evening. The building is rumoured to be haunted, which also doesn't surprise us at all, considering it's history. At our launch party at Slainte's, our psychic friend, Michele sensed that there were several spirits in the place, and everyone who attended felt that the second floor was an area with lots of energy. You can feel it as soon as you walk up the staircase! The actual pub was designed by a team in Dublin, constructed in Wexford, Ireland, shipped here and reassembled in the 130 year-old historic building that once served as a livery for horses. The pub sits on the border of the Corktown neighbourhood where the Irish immigrated between 1840 and 1850. The actual doors of the pub are from Vaughn's Hotel in Dublin, as seen in the feature film Michael Collins starring Liam Neeson.
