Join Haunted Hamilton on a rare opportunity to visit and explore the very haunted Fort Wayne in Detroit, Michigan. Constructed in 1845, Fort Wayne is located on the banks of the Detroit River and has been called one of the most haunted places in the United States!

Thousands of Americans have passed through its gates in service to their country, as it became a major staging area for soldiers during the Civil War and both World Wars. One of the few star forts remaining in the world today (so called for the shape of the fortress walls when seen from above). Today, the fort is owned by the city of Detroit and operated by a dedicated group of preservationists known as the Historic Fort Wayne Coalition.

THE HAUNTINGS...

What's amazing about this overnight investigation is not only that the huge barracks building in the star fort is open for investigation, but also an entire ghost town with many buildings you can go into and explore!

There is at least one Indian mound located on the 96 acre site. Local legend says the ghosts of the Yam-Ko-Desh, Ottawa name for the mound builders or "the prairie people," still roam the site.

There have been sightings of ghostly soldiers. Footsteps and voices have been heard from empty floors of many buildings in the fort when no one else was around. Items have mysteriously moved. Many of these ghostly events take place at the exact same time each night... 1:20 am. No one has been able to make a connection to what is significant about that time. Maybe you'll be the first!
