Office in Downtown Hamilton in person
(in person is much faster than by mail - we received ours
in less than two weeks!
You should receive your Passport just in time for the
trip.
Applying through the mail takes about 4 weeks to receive).

Reformatory Preservation Society (MRPS) sponsored Ghost
Hunts® are serious, but informal attempts to document
paranormal activity at a castle-like former prison.
Ghost Hunts® provide an unusual first-hand experience
to search other realms.
Ghost Hunts® at OSR are the first of their kind in
the United States.

Our
ghostly journey will lead us to the Ohio State Reformatory,
which was built between 1886 and 1910. It houses
the world's largest free-standing cell block which is
six tiers high! The Reformatory remained in full
operation until 1972, but wasn't completely closed down
until 1990.
Mansfield
Reformatory is one of, if not THE most haunted locations
in the United States. It is reportedly haunted
with several paranormal hotspots including the two chapels,
the area around the warden's office, the infirmary and
solitary confinement. Over 200 people died at the Ohio
State Reformatory, including a few guards who were killed
during escape attempts.
The
facility gained fame when it served as Shawshank State
Prison in the 1994 movie The Shawshank Redemption starring
Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. It has also been featured
in other popular movies including, "Air Force Once",
"Tango and Cash" and many others. It has also
been featured on tv shows including, "Scariest Places
on Earth", SciFi Channel's "Ghost Hunters"
with TAPS and other shows on A&E and The Travel Channel.
NOTE:
This bus trip is not recommended
for pregnant women,
due to the lead-based paints still present at the old
jail.
