Our First Conversation with Cal

It was a sunny Saturday morning and we decided to check out some Garage Sales in the Hamilton area. Daniel found a Ouija Board that an old man was selling for 50 cents. Our initial thoughts were to buy the board as a fun way to entertain ourselves. Little did we know, that exact same board would change our view of the Ouija Board forever.

We brought the Ouija Board back to Daniel's parents house on the Hamilton Mountain, threw it into the closet, and forgot about it until days later.

We set the board up in the reading room on the second floor. This was formally Daniel's bedroom where he experienced strange happenings explained above.

We set up on a small desk with one single candle beside the Ouija Board, sitting directly across from eachother. With the lights off and the candle lit, we began our first Ouija session.

Contact

It took a while for us to become completely focused on contacting a spirit. Before realizing it, the planchette began to move. We stayed silent for a moment as we came to terms with what was happening.

I assured the spirit by explaining that it was in a safe place, and that its presence was needed to answer questions. After focusing for a few minutes, the planchette began to move.

I asked, "Spirit, are you there?"

The planchette moved to YES.

Please remember that this was the beginning of our Ouija practices, so we were very inexperienced. We didn't record the session and didn't keep very good notes. From what I can remember, after making contact we ask some inane questions to prove that the spirit can see us and if it could see the future.

We then asked the spirit its name. The planchette was very controlled in spelling out C-A-L. Now the important question, I asked, "Are you the spirit that attacked me?", while we both focused on the experience written above.

The planchette moved to YES.

We tried asking more questions, but the planchette became very uncontrolled and was spelling out gibberish. However, from what little communication we did get, it seems the spirit was good natured.

Proof

If you are not familiar with the Ouija board, please know that the planchettes movements can be very slow and vague. Plus, if you do not stay focused, the planchette will spell out gibberish.

Around ten minutes into the communication with Cal, just as we were ready to give up because of to much gibberish, the planchette moved without a question asked. It was very controlled and very strong.

Please note, at this point into the communication, we were in good spirits. Steph and I were laughing, joking, and flirting, just like any loving couple would.

The planchette very clearly spelled out, U A-R-E A H-A-P-P-Y C-O-U-P-L-E. Needless to say, this shut us up. I remember having a feeling of fear. This proved that we were not alone and that something was watching.

Steph and I quickly removed our hands from the planchette like it was burning hot. I could see tears welling up in Steph's eyes and a look of desperation come over her face. I'm sure the expression on my own wasn't too different.
