Friend's House
Hamilton, Ontario
by
Jen

I was at my friends house and we often were in her livingroom watching tv or making use of the huge mirror that covers the major part of her one wall. One day when using this wall I was doing my makeup to be exact, I had just wipes a smudge from my mascara when i looked through the mirror into the front hall and I saw a white "object" almost float acroos the doorway. I said to my friend that she would think I was crazy for saying so but i had seen a ghost or entity. To my surprise she had many encounters with this particular ghost. It apparently belongs to the man who built the house who lived there for about four months when a support beam that had been temporariliy holding up parts of the second floor collapsed leaving him trapped underneath debris leading to his death. She added that his birthday May 14th was the very next day so every May there are peculiar noises coming from her basement almost like he was working to finish the house off.

This was my first experience in her house and there are two more.

She has a large collection of board games from years of collections and gifts. This collection was kept in a wall unit with glass doors and wooden base. Due to some valuable ones the glass is locked. On a Thursday before school Iwas waiting for her to get ready so decided to ask to see the games, she tossed me the keys and smirked saying that I should be sure to lock it back up or they'll get out. I chose a first edition snakes and ladders to try and got bored quickly. After putting the pieces back in their designated area and closing the box I put it back in it's place in the lower part of the unit. I locked the door twice to be sure. Took the key back to her and we left for school shortly after her check to see that it was locked. We returned after second period because she had forgotten to get her math homework. It was on her desk in her room. She came downstairs and whispered for me to come see. Another game, crokinole mini edition, was on her floor area carpet, pieces scattered the board as if someone had breifly been there. The weird thing is that she had blamed this happening befor on her dad who was interested in a select few, but no one was home.
