This is a true story that involves my wife mostly. I live in a townhouse complex and my next door neighbour was a little spooked when he told us of a few experiences he had seen in his unit. I can't specificly remember what he saw good enough to retell it, but what I do remember is he saw "something" on several occasions at exactly 2:11 in the morning. This story gets more personal on December 25 1999. My wife and I were finishing wrapping up the Christmas presents and we heard one of the kids awake upstairs. We didn't want the kids to wake up and come down, so my wife went upstairs to sleep with the child who woke up. She told me to get the rest of the presents out of our bedroom closet and put them under the tree once our little one was back asleep. So, off she went upstairs, and I put on the T.V. and started to pass the time. In less than 7 or 8 minutes she comes down stairs looking a little weird. She asked me if I was just upstairs. I told her no, and she said she just saw something moving around upstairs. I don't even know why, but I turned my head and looked at our clock and it said 2:11. That's when my wife really got upset. She told me she was laying in our kids bed and she had her back to the open door. She heard our hallway floor creaking and she turned her head and saw a dark shape moving quite quickly through our hallway and into our empty bedroom. She called my name hoping what she saw was me, but there was no response. She must have really known it was not me though, it was quite big and seemed to be gliding. It didn't bounce up and down like a person would walking from one foot to the other. But there must have been some weight on the floor, because as I said before the floor was creaking. She also said it was not really a distinguishable shape, just a big dark entity. So anyway, that is when she came down stairs. At the time she actually saw it she was not scared, but once I looked at the clock and she remembered about our neighbour she didn't want to go back up stairs. So I go up and check everything out, and everything seems normal. Our room is empty and the kids are safe in their beds. A couple weeks later my wife told our neighbour what she saw and he said that is the same thing he has seen on a "few" occasions. We haven't
seen anything since then, and our neighbour has moved downtown. But
I hope we never do see it again because, (now this is probably a coincedence)
On December 26th, just over 24 hours later me my wife and our kids
were in a very serious head on car accident. It has been close to
a year and I am still going through rehab. Now I would like to restate
that last part was probably just a coincedence because our neighbour
had seen the same thing several times and nothing happened to him.
But I will probably not leave the house for a few days if we see it
again just to be sure. Please
note that we do not change reader's submissions. |
