Wendy's Ghost IV
Burlington, Ontario
1989-1993
by
Kyla

Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing a skeptic become a believer!!!! :)

My friend, Daniel, who usually worked on the sandwich stations at Wendy's refused to believe anything supernatural was going on at the restaurant. Even when knowledge of the ghost was out in the open and everyone had stories to tell (usually about their names being called), he said no way! It didn't matter that paper cups and bowls would fly across the room even when there was no breeze. Spatulas deeply imbedded in mayo or ketchup would fly out of their pans and hit the wall or the floor. The grids covering the flourescent lights would shake violently.

Nope! Daniel had an excuse for all of it -- usually that some employee was doing to try to scare everyone else.

"You're all crazy!" he'd say, "That's all! You're all just a bunch of freaks!"

I loved Daniel, he was a great friend, but this was too much! One evening, I entered the kitchen from the dining room to see Daniel walk up on front line, pale as a... well, a ghost! He was physically shaking and I thought he was going to pass out. I rushed over to him and asked him what was wrong.

"I just want you to know that I believe you guys when you say someone is calling you," he stammered.

"Why?" I asked still concerned.

Daniel then whined like a little girl, "Because it just happened to me!!!!!!!" I started laughing, "Oh, I see! I told you so!"

Oh, it was a good day that day!
