Sisters Haunt Moving Day This incident didn't happen in Hamilton, but I thought it might be worth sharing anyway. I was helping friends move into a small farmhouse in a smaller hamlet (?) called West McGillvray, which is located between Exeter and Strathroy, in southwestern Ontario. My friends had heard of this house being for rent through the area grapevine and because the price was right they jumped at it. On moving day, we were carting all the stuff into the house and Amy (one friend) was carrying in a portable stereo system, and I happened to be 'right there' when she came in with it. We both happened to be looking when the LED's for the power signal flashed on for a split second! Amy noted of course that the unit wasn't plugged in, and she opened the battery compartment to show there were no batteries in it! Once they were settled in, there were a couple of other incidents: Every so often (usually in the evening) if a person went to sit on the couch, one end would be very cold, and the other would be normal room temperature. Another friend was in the bathroom one evening combing out her hair after taking a shower, and the lights went out for about five seconds! Just in the bathroom! Amy did some investigating and discovered there were two sisters from the 1800's haunting the home they spent their entire life in. They were certainly benevolent spirits, and I suspect they were only letting my friends know they approved of them living there. Up to that point I had been a little skeptical of ghosts and hauntings, but now I keep a very open mind. Please
