Since I moved into my house two years ago, I often hear the sound of someone scraping their fingernails down the hallway walls, and sometimes creaks of footsteps walking down the hallway throughout the floorboards.

Obviously when I go to check, nothing is there. But a couple of times I've heard a large thud as if someone has hit the wall enough to wake me in my sleep, but usually just the scaping sounds.

What's worse is that I live alone and my friends have heard it when they stay over and ask about it and when i tell them they don't stay over again. That's about it, and no it isn't any animals because there's too much weight in the creaks of the floorboards as it walks down.
