Answer the Door!
Millgrove, Ontario
Summer 2000 @ 2 a.m.
by
Kyla

I was at my parent's house, waiting for my husband to come and pick me up. He would work the night shift, and if I was visiting my parents, he would pick me up on the way home from
work.

Some nights, he could be as early as midnight and other nights he could be as late as 3 or 4 in the morning. One night, I was just fooling around on the computer in a separate room, with
the door half ajar. I swear that I heard a light tap on the front door. I know I heard someone come from upstairs where my parents' bedroom is, answer the door and let the person in. I heard muffled voices and the jingle of car keys. Thinking it was my husband coming and one of my parents had just come down from bed to let him in, I turned the computer off, walked to the
front door, only to find no one there. Completely confused, I walked to the door, looked around, and then opened the door. My husband had just shown up at that exact second. He hadn't
even knocked on the door yet.

He joked, "Hey, that was good timing!"

I was extremely confused by this time as I asked, "Didn't you already come in the house?"

He shook his head. It was very peculiar. When I told my father this story, he said that the ghost in the house was saying in his own way, "Hey! Get your butt away from that computer
and answer the door!"
